Human Typer ("the Extension", "we", "us", or "our") is designed to simulate human-like typing in text fields on webpages. We respect your privacy and are committed to processing only the data needed to provide the Extension's core functionality.

1. Information We Process

Human Typer may process the following information locally in your browser:

• Text you provide to the Extension, including text pasted into the Extension popup.
• Clipboard text, only when you explicitly choose the "Human Type clipboard here" context-menu action.
• Extension preferences, such as typing speed, human-like timing, typo simulation, typo rate, language preference, and whether the target field should be cleared first.

Your typed text and clipboard contents are not sent to our servers and are not retained by Human Typer.

2. How Information Is Used

Information is used only to provide the Extension's core functionality:

• Typing text into a webpage field selected by you.
• Simulating realistic typing delays and optional typo correction.
• Remembering your Extension preferences between sessions.

3. Data Collection and Sharing

Human Typer does not:

• Collect or transmit your clipboard contents or typed text to an external server.
• Collect your browsing history.
• Collect passwords, authentication credentials, financial information, precise location, or health information.
• Use analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking technologies.
• Sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties.

4. Chrome Permissions

Human Typer uses only permissions needed for its functionality:

• activeTab — temporarily accesses the current tab after you interact with the Extension so it can type into the field you selected.
• scripting — runs the typing logic on the active webpage.
• storage — stores Extension preferences locally in Chrome.
• contextMenus — adds Human Typer actions to the right-click menu of editable fields.
• clipboardRead — if granted, reads clipboard text only when you explicitly use the clipboard typing feature.
• offscreen — supports clipboard access in the Manifest V3 background environment. It is not used to display hidden webpages, track browsing activity, or collect data.

5. Local Storage and Retention

Human Typer may store your settings locally using Chrome's extension storage. These settings remain on your device until you change them, reset the Extension, clear Chrome extension data, or uninstall the Extension.

Text entered into Human Typer and clipboard content used for typing are processed only as needed to perform the requested typing action and are not retained by us.

6. Third-Party Services

Human Typer does not send Extension data to third-party services and does not include third-party analytics or advertising services.

7. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

Human Typer's handling of user data is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data accessed by the Extension is used only to provide or improve the Extension's user-facing functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

Human Typer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the Extension does not transmit or store user-entered content on our servers, we do not maintain profiles of users of any age.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if Human Typer's features or data practices change. Any updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
